Welcome
               to the 9th Annual
                     Land Run
            Choctaw Creek Park
We would like to invite you to our 9th Annual Choctaw Land Run Festival scheduled for April 19 and 20, 2012
. Choctaw is proud to boast that we are the oldest chartered city in the State of Oklahoma. Come help us celebrate the Oklahoma Land Run of April 22, 1889. The east boundary of that run was the Indian Meridian. Today it is known as Indian Meridian Road which runs through Choctaw.

Planned activities are historical presentations, re-enactor encampments, historical figure presentations, cowboy encampments, cavalry encampments, jailhouse, gun fights, old fashioned games, and lot's more...

This Event is free of charge and so is parking for the general public... Food and Merchandise Vendors are present...and everyone is welcome for all activities at any time.

Last April's festival drew about 3,000 students and 2,000 spectators and was very successful. The students had a lot of fun and hands-on experiences. They just loved it. We would  hope that you could schedule a field trip for your family or students to let them experience this unique living history festival.

In order to schedule the programs and since we can accommodate only a fixed number of students please contact us as soon as possible with your commitment. Please call Debbie Green at 405.390.8276 for any questions. Or print, fill out and mail  application form.

This is a very unique opportunity and teaching tool we hope you can schedule for your family or your students and step back in history and enjoy.
